Where to sleep? My recommended hotels
Saint-Germain is one of the most sought-after areas in Paris (and rightly so!), but that means you need to know where to look to get good value for money. I've gathered for you the places where staying is an experience in itself:
Hotel Baume
A magical 4-star hotel with an Art Deco design inspired by the 30s. Located in the heart of the action near the Odeon. Simply wow.
Abbey Hotel
Looking for peace in the midst of the storm? A luxurious hotel with a stunning secret courtyard. A little paradise.
Le Relais Saint-Germain
A 17th century building with exposed wooden beams and lots of character. For those who want to feel the Paris The real one from the past.
Hotel Odeon Saint Germain
Warm and inviting design and super-friendly staff, just a stone's throw from Boulevard Saint-Germain. A safe choice.
Didn't find it?
Don't worry, there are plenty of other great options in this charming neighborhood.
Feel at home: recommended apartments for families and couples
If you are like me and love to shop Cheeses wine and sit on the balcony, or you are traveling with the family – an apartment is the perfect solution:
Citadines Saint-Germain
Apartment hotel on the banks of the Seine, opposite Notre Dame. A winning combination of comfort (kitchenette) and historic location.
Residence Le Prince Regent
A real treat: spacious luxury apartments with an on-site spa. Near the Sorbonne. The good life.
Assas-Vavin Apartments
A cozy and practical studio near the Luxembourg Gardens. A great base for couples who want peace and quiet.

I have other great recommendations for apartments in the Sixth District.
Everything you wanted to know (FAQ)
Before you pack your suitcase, here are the answers to the questions I get from you the most:
Where is Saint-Germain-des-Prés anyway?
We are talking about the heart of the Left Bank (The 6rd DistrictImagine a square bounded by the Seine to the north, the Boulevard Montparnasse to the south, and the Boulevard Saint-Michel to the east. This is the classic center of Paris.
How much time should you dedicate to the district?
Look, you can “mark the V” in half a day, but to really feel the magic, sit in a cafe and leisurely wander through the galleries – I highly recommend two to three days. You won’t regret it.
How to get there easily?
Easiest by metro: Line 4 (Saint-Germain-des-Prés or Odéon stations) takes you right to the heart of the action. Line 10 also stops here. If you prefer to see the city from the window, lines 39, 63, and 96 will do the trick.
Is it safe to walk around there?
Absolutely. Saint-Germain is one of the safest, most pleasant and bourgeois areas in Paris, both day and night.

Recommended Tours: Discover the Secrets
You can travel alone (which is great), but sometimes a guided tour opens doors to places you would never find on your own. Here are some gems I found:
Chocolate and Patisserie Tour
For lovers of sweets: a depraved tour of the best boutiques in the district. You must arrive hungry!
Wine and cheese at the market
It doesn't get more French than that. Tasting fine wines and stinky cheeses (in a good way) at the covered market.
Parisian fashion and chic
Discover the hottest trends and the history of fashion in the most prestigious boutiques.

A philosophical journey among the coffee houses where the theory of existentialism was written.
Saint-Sulpice Church
The giant organ, Delacroix paintings and the mysterious connection to the Da Vinci Code.

And in terms of culinary...
So where do we eat?
It's no secret that Saint-Germain is quite a culinary tourist trap. But don't worry, that's exactly why I'm here.
