On June 21st, the longest day of the year, there is a must-see event: the Music Festival. Starting Wednesday, June 24th at 08:00 AM, the sales season in Paris officially begins! It’s time to hit the big department stores like Galeries Lafayette and Printemps, but keep in mind that the crowds there are extreme. From my personal experience, if you have the option – plan your shopping trip for midweek and try to avoid the first weekend of the sales.
Roland Garros tournament ends and music festivals
The Roland Garros final will be held on June 7, which will create a huge traffic jam in the western Paris area (Bois de Boulogne). In addition, for festival lovers, the We Love Green ecological festival will be held in the Bois de Vincennes from June 5-7, and the Solidays festival will be held at the Longchamp Hippodrome from June 26-28.
