It borders onMonceau Park Spectacular, one of my favorite parks in the city, and offers great culinary markets on Poncelet and Lévis streets.
In addition, the district is very popular with the religious andKosher Observers, thanks to the large Jewish community and proximity to the Chabad House on the Champs-Elysées (walking distance from certain areas of the district). A five-star hotel that opened in June 2021 on Rue Beudant, with twenty-eight rooms in seven different designs. Some rooms have private jacuzzis, and the lighting, scents, and curtains are controlled by an iPad. Downstairs, there’s an eleven-meter heated pool with a jacuzzi, a hammam, a red cedar sauna, an ice fountain, and a pink salt cave, and three treatment rooms. The restaurant plays live jazz in the evenings. Note that there’s an additional fee for spa entry even for hotel guests. I recommend it mainly for couples, as the whole place is geared toward a romantic getaway rather than a family trip.
Hyatt Regency Etoile

- The rooms are relatively small.
The tallest hotel in Paris: thirty-four floors and one hundred and thirty-seven meters on the Place du Général Koenig, with nine hundred and ninety-five rooms. On the 34th floor sits the Windo Skybar with panoramic views, open to everyone from five in the afternoon, and downstairs is a restaurant and a gym open 24 hours a day. The hotel is directly connected to the Palais des Congrès with a shopping mall and supermarket and to Porte Maillot station on line 1, and beyond the square begins Boulogne Forest. Note that the rooms themselves are small relative to the size of the hotel. I recommend paying for a room on a high floor, because here you are paying for the view.

Thirty-five rooms on Rue de l'Arc de Triomphe, a quiet alley about four hundred meters fromArc de Triomphe. Everything here is built around natural materials: raw wood, stone, linen and leather, and the mattresses are organic natural latex and coconut fiber. There are no minibars in the rooms, a conscious decision by the hotel, and the lobby has a library and cigar room. Breakfast is organic, fresh madeleines are brought out at night, and the hotel lends guests wooden bicycles. Note that the basic rooms are really small. I recommend going up one category, as the difference in size here is significant.
Maison Albar (Mac Mahon)

Forty rooms and suites between 25 and 40 meters, behind an Ottoman facade on Avenue Mac Mahon, a two-minute walk from the Arc de Triomphe. The design is based on Venetian chandeliers and mirrors, and the upper suites have a private jacuzzi and a double hammam shower. The gate can be seen from the hotel restaurant, which is also open to non-residents, and from the breakfast room. Note that the pool and spa are not in the hotel itself but at its sister hotel, about four kilometers away. I recommend asking for a room on a high floor with a French balcony, because from there the view of the gate is the real deal.

Ninety-seven rooms between 21 and 37 meters on Avenue de Villiers, around an interior garden that is the heart of the place and where you can have breakfast on nice days. The bar has a working fireplace in winter, the upper suites have a balcony with a view of the Eiffel Tower, and the rooms are insulated with double windows. A bistro and wine bar have recently opened on the ground floor, and there is also indoor parking, a rarity in Paris, for about 38 euros per night. Note that this is a quiet, non-touristy residential area, and it is about a twenty-minute walk to the Arc de Triomphe. I recommend asking for a room facing the garden, because there you can't even hear the avenue.
Westside Arc de Triomphe

Forty-four rooms on Rue Pierre Demours, a quiet one-way street in a quiet part of the district. The hotel's secret is a small pool, about six by two and a half meters, and a sauna, both free for guests and can also be booked for private use. Some rooms have a balcony, each room has a minibar, and there is a babysitting service on request. Charles de Gaulle Etoile station, on line 1 and RER A, is about a twelve-minute walk away. Note that the rooms are small and that the pool is a plunge pool, not a swimming pool. I recommend booking the pool in advance for an hour in the evening, as it is the best way to end a day of walking in Paris.
Mercure Arc de Triomphe

A Mercure hotel about 150 meters from the Arc de Triomphe, in the Ternes neighborhood. Most rooms have chromotherapy lighting that changes the color of the light according to the mood, the two junior suites come with a balcony, and on the entrance floor there is a library area and a shared work space. Breakfast is a buffet and can be requested in the room. Some rooms have a view of the arch itself, and lines 1, 2, and 6 pass under the hotel, as well as the RER A, which takes you directly to La Défense. Note that this is a standard chain hotel, not a boutique, and that the rooms are compact. I recommend it to those who prefer certainty over surprises.

Hotel des Batignolles

- There is no elevator in the building.
In the heart of the Batignolles neighborhood, one of the most rural neighborhoods left in Paris. There is an interior garden where you can have breakfast, a living room with books and games, a table football and ping pong, and a welcome drink between 3 and 8 p.m. The buffet is served between 7 and 10:30 and includes freshly squeezed orange juice and pastries baked on site, and there is also one private parking space nearby, for about 25 euros per day and by reservation. The real downside here is that there is no elevator and the building is four stories high, but two ground floor rooms with accessible showers are available on request. I recommend requesting them in advance for those who have difficulty with stairs.
Hotel Armoni

- Residential area far from the center
Forty-five rooms in Villa Berthier, a quiet residential street in the west of the arrondissement. Each room has an Apple Mac mini connected to a screen, the bar has an outdoor terrace, and breakfast costs 17 euros and is served from 7 to 10:30, including waffles and a gluten-free option upon request. There are also meeting rooms and massage treatments upon request, and the Porte de Champerret station on line 3 is about a hundred meters away. Note that this is a completely residential area and it is about a twenty-minute walk to the Champs Elysées. I recommend it for anyone attending an exhibition at the Palais de Congrès and wanting a quiet bed.
Magda Champs Elysees

Thirty-seven rooms on Rue Troyon, a small street between Avenue de Wagram and Avenue Mac Mahon, about one hundred and ninety meters from the Arc de Triomphe and the same distance from Charles de Gaulle Etoile station. There are family rooms for four, an elevator, air conditioning and soundproof windows, and breakfast is a buffet with hot dishes. Some rooms have a small balcony or a view of the inner courtyard. Note that the walls between the rooms are quite thin and there is no parking at the hotel, but there is a public car park nearby. I recommend it especially for families, as it is difficult to find a room for four this far from the gate.
Hotel Du Mont Dore

Twenty-five rooms on Rue du Mont-Dore, also in the Batignolles neighborhood, with a colorful design that leans towards Mondrian. There is a flowering inner courtyard and a furnished terrace, and breakfast can be eaten inside, outside, or right in the room. All rooms are soundproofed, and Rome station on line 2 is about two hundred and seventy meters away. Note that the standard rooms are only 11 meters, which is really small, and that the superior rooms are 13 meters. I recommend paying the difference for a superior, because two meters of space completely changes the feel of the room.
Stella Etoile

Thirty-four rooms on a street off Place Etoile, with the Arc de Triomphe about an eight-minute walk away. Some rooms have a small balcony, and some overlook the arch itself. Each room has air conditioning, a kettle and a small fridge, and the windows are double-glazed. Reception is staffed 24 hours a day, and the Argentine station on line 1 is about five hundred metres away. Note that the rooms are small and that breakfast is served in a small room in the basement and costs around €16, so if you want something more generous, a café down the street is better. I recommend asking for a room with a balcony on a high floor when booking.
