The Champs-Elysées is a main avenue in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. Paris (Right Bank). It stretches from the Place de la Concorde in the east to the Arc de Triomphe (Place Charles de Gaulle) in the west.
How much time should you spend on the Champs Elysees?
A visit to the boulevard itself, including the Arc de Triomphe and some shopping, will take about half a day. If you want to delve deeper and also visit the museums in the area (like the Petit Palais or the Grand Palais) and Parc Monceau, it is worth dedicating a full day or even a day and a half to the 8th arrondissement.
How to get to the Champs Elysees?
The easiest way to get there is by metro line 1, which runs along the entire length of the avenue. The main stations are: Concorde, Champs-Élysées – Clemenceau, Franklin D. Roosevelt, George V and Charles de Gaulle – Étoile (Arc de Triomphe).
Where is the Arc de Triomphe?
The Arc de Triomphe stands proudly at the western end of the avenue, at Place Charles de Gaulle (formerly Place de l’Hôtel – the Star). It can be reached by metro lines 1, 2 and 6 or by RER A.
