Asterix Park is a colorful and cheerful amusement park based on the character Asterix from the famous comic book series. It is the second most popular park in the area, after Disneyland ParisIn 2023, it was visited by 2.8 million visitors, and it is also one of the most popular amusement parks in Europe.
The park boasts an impressive selection of roller coasters – all with historical designs that fit different eras, such as ancient Greece, the Romans, the Gauls and ancient Egypt. Asterix Park – Useful Information
Where is Asterix Park located?
The park is located about 35 kilometers north of Paris, and about 32 kilometers from EuroDisney. It is reached via the A1 highway, and has its own interchange and exit. You can get there by rental car – and pay 20 euros for parking, or you can also get there by a variety of shared shuttle services or taxis. There is also a shuttle for 11 euros (SHUTTLE ROISSY – PARC ASTÉRIX), which leaves from Charles de Gaulle Airport.
If you don't want to worry about it – Buy a ticket that includes transportation to the park and back.And arrange a fun day for yourself without getting into trouble.
Park opening hours
Opening hours vary slightly over the course of the week, and there is also a different schedule on holidays, but in principle the park is open from 10 a.m. until evening – sometimes until 10 p.m. It is recommended to check the opening hours. According to the date you plan to arrive.

Accessibility at Parc Asterix
The park has a Handicap Accessibility Pass, which allows people with disabilities to skip the lines – for one person plus three companions. To receive the special pass, you must present a Mobility Inclusion Card (the park does not accept doctor's certificates or letters, etc.).

Facilities at Parc Asterix
The park has dozens of rides that suit your preferred form of entertainment – lots of action and excitement, or more relaxed rides that are suitable for small children.
Here are some of the selected facilities:
The Tower of Numerobis
A 40-meter-high carousel that allows you to have fun and also get a panoramic view of the entire Gallic area in the park.
A hard time
A ship that is very reminiscent of the pirate ship from our local amusement park. A facility for the brave only.
Osiris
A dramatic roller coaster that will launch you at crazy speed to a height of 40 meters. Loops, sharp turns and everything you need for thrills. Suitable for children 1.30 meters tall and up.
The catacombs
For fans of horror and darkness – the catacombs of Asterix Park offer you corpses, skeletons and monsters. Recommended for children aged 16 and over only.
The Trace of Hourra
A roller coaster in the Gaelic area of the park – and one of the fastest roller coasters in Europe. Despite this, it is possible and worth taking it with the kids.
At Gyrofolix
A sophisticated and unique rotating facility, with 4 gondolas. A relatively calm facility, suitable even for small children.
Les Chaudrons
The whole family gets into the cauldron, for a shared round of laughter and fun. Suitable for small children too. Dizziness guaranteed!
Facilities for small children
The park offers a variety of facilities and attractions that are also suitable for small children. These are calmer facilities that allow you to bring the children with peace of mind. For example, there is an airplane carousel, a horse carousel, playgrounds with facilities where you can burn off energy, water slides, a small train, bumper cars for children, and more.
Performances at Asterix Park
In the park you can enjoy a variety of performances and shows at all hours of operation. Some of the shows are full-length (about half an hour), and there are also short performances of a few minutes. The park has two 3-star hotels and one 4-star hotel:
- THE SUSPENDED CITY – A three-star hotel with a Celtic design, right in the middle of the forest. Especially suitable for nature lovers. The hotel is within walking distance of the park, allows you early entry to the park and you can meet your favorite characters. The rooms are air-conditioned and specially designed for families.
- THE THREE OWLS – A hotel based on a Druidic legend about three owls. There are 150 rooms here that are suitable for families (up to 5 beds per room), and it is particularly quiet and pleasant. This is a 3-star hotel.
- THE QUAYS OF LUTECE – A 4-star hotel in the forest, a short walk from the park. It has 150 air-conditioned rooms, designed for families, a bar, a restaurant and a gym.
Restaurants in Parc Asterix
There are three main restaurants in Parc Asterix:
- Le Relais Gaulois – A light buffet-style restaurant, with salads, cold cuts or cooked dishes, and desserts. All self-service. Sometimes, during the meal, Asterix and Obelix will come to greet you at the table. Children up to 11 years old will pay 10 euros here, while adults will pay 27 euros.
- Cirque – Another buffet restaurant, a bit more expensive, located in the circus area. The price for children aged 3-11 is 12 euros, while adults pay 30 euros here.
- Le Restaurant Du Lac – If you don’t have the energy for a buffet, here you’ll be served at the table like a civilized person. This is a colorful and cheerful restaurant, with a facade decorated with fruits and vegetables, located exactly halfway between Rue de Paris and the Gallic Village, so it’s very suitable for lunch and a short rest. The menu has pretty standard food, but also a wild boar dish, for those interested in a little more exotic food.
The park also has a variety of food stalls and smaller restaurants., which serve sandwiches, fries, snacks, drinks, hamburgers, pizzas and all the junk that comes with a visit to an amusement park.
Shops in the park
There are several small shops in the Asterix Park, where you can buy souvenirs from your day in the park, including dolls, clothes, water bottles, toys, etc. Some of the shops are dedicated to a specific character, such as Asterix or Idefix.
