The 15th arrondissement is the most populated in Paris and also the least controlled, which is no coincidence. It is a bourgeois residential district without major monuments, and those who come there come for something specific: an observation deck, a park, or a market.
In terms of markets, it is one of the richest in the city with seven food markets, two of which are unusual: one that operates three days a week, and one that only operates in the afternoon. In terms of restaurants, I don't have any recommendations yet, and I say that openly.

Recommended observation point
Montparnasse Tower (Tour Montparnasse)
To the logical observer in Paris, for a very simple reason.
The reason is simple: from the Montparnasse Tower you can see the Eiffel Tower, and from the Eiffel Tower you can see the Montparnasse Tower. The tower was built in 1973 and is so ugly that it was decided to limit the height of buildings in central Paris, and therefore it remains an anomaly in the landscape. Note that the tower is in the 15th arrondissement and not the 14th arrondissement, even though the surrounding neighborhood is called Montparnasse.

Grenelle Market (Marché Grenelle)
The market under the elevated metro line, on Wednesdays and Sundays.
What makes this market special is the location: the stalls are on the Boulevard de la République, under the 6 line that runs above ground there. At the eastern end of the market, the Eiffel Tower can be seen between the columns, and this is one of the truly Parisian images. I wrote about this market separately.

Parc André Citroën
A modern park on the grounds of the old Citroen factory, with greenhouses and fountains.
The park opened in 1992 on the site of the car factory that once stood here, and its design is geometric and cold, the complete opposite of a classic French garden. In the summer, the bouncing fountains are full of children, and a hot air balloon takes off from the park, tied to cables and rising to a height of about 150 meters. The balloon is paid for, the park is not.

Aqua Boulevard
The largest water park in Paris, and the solution for a rainy day with children.
It's not exactly what you come to see in Paris, but anyone who spends a week in the city with kids will understand the value of a place like this on a rainy day. There are slides, wave pools, and a heated outdoor area, and the place is open even in winter. It's worth checking age limits for the slides before committing to anything.

Restaurants in the 15th arrondissement of Paris
I'll say it openly: as of today, I don't have a single restaurant recommendation in the 15th arrondissement, and I'd rather say that than fill the space with names I haven't checked out. What I can recommend: Rue du Commerce is full of bistros and food shops that aren't geared towards tourists, and at the Granel Market on Wednesdays and Sundays you can shop and eat in the park.

The food markets of the 15th arrondissement in Paris
