A great attraction for children and adults, for nature and mystery lovers, and for anyone looking for interest and magic in the City of Lights – the Paris Aquarium.

The Paris Aquarium is home to around 7,500 different creatures, including 50 sharks – all from the French region. You can also see clownfish, sea urchins, sting rays, colorful corals and all the amazing things the oceans have to offer. The aquarium has one of the largest shark exhibits in France, containing 3 million liters of water. The site also features a pond where you can pet koi fish, and a variety of activities and performances that take place literally every day. 

The aquarium also has changing exhibits. For example, during 2024 (until October), you can enjoy a goldfish exhibit, which includes a lot of information about the popular fish, artwork, and interactive experiences. Recommended Check the aquarium website. What are the latest activities there?

In the aquarium of Paris There's also the largest jellyfish exhibit in Europe (don't say yuck!), with more than 2,500 jellyfish in 15 different aquariums.

The place is accessible to people with disabilities and can be entered with a wheelchair. There are also suitable toilets on site. Some of the tours are also accessible to the visually and hearing impaired.

How do you get to the Paris Aquarium?

The aquarium is located in the Trocadero Gardens, at 5 Avenue Albert de Mun.

The closest metro stations are Iéna (line 9) and Trocadéro (line 6, line 9).
