A 20m2 studio on Rue de Rennes, in a beautiful building with a lift, with contemporary design and wooden floors. The kitchenette includes a microwave, fridge and coffee machine, and the bathroom is much larger than usual in Paris. The location is hard to beat: Saint-Sulpice station on line 4 is two hundred metres away and leads directly to Saint-Michel and Chatelet, Saint-Sulpice Church Around the corner, and the Luxembourg Gardens are a five minute walk away. Sophie, the host, is indeed attentive. Note that the windows let in little natural light, and in winter it takes a while to heat up the place. I recommend it for a couple who want a perfect location and don't need a view.

The equipment is more meticulous than average in this category: a Nespresso machine, quality toiletries, a TV, and the staff sends detailed entry instructions in advance, which saves the confusion familiar in apartments without a reception. Be aware that this area is one of the busiest in Paris during the day, with tourists, restaurants, and cafes on every corner. I recommend it for those who want to be in the middle of the action, and not for those who are looking for the quiet of a neighborhood.
Notre Dame district
- Two hundred meters from Saint-Michel station, direct RER to the airport
- Five hundred meters from Notre Dame
- The air conditioning is weak, and in a heat wave this is noticeable.
The apartment is located on Rue Gît-le-Cœur, a tiny alley that runs off the Seine River. Those who love literature will know that number 9 was home to the Beat Hotel in the 1950s, where Ginsberg, Burroughs and Corso lived. Today, it is a quiet alley at night despite its location. Some units include a kitchen with a dishwasher and oven. Up to Notre Dame Five hundred meters, to the Louvre eight hundred, and the Saint Michel Notre Dame station two hundred meters away, with a direct RER to the airport and Versailles. Note that the air conditioning here is relatively weak, and in an August heat wave it is noticeable. I recommend it to those who come in spring or autumn and want to be in the heart of everything.

A renovated, air-conditioned 32 m² apartment with a separate bedroom, a living room with a sofa bed and a fully equipped kitchen including a microwave and a coffee machine. It is located on a quiet street, steps fromLuxembourg Gardens, with restaurants, bakeries and shops all around. Air conditioning is not a given here, and anyone who was in Paris in August knows how much it matters. The host hands over the keys personally and not in a box, which is always reassuring. Note that the size is real: for a couple this is a perfect apartment, and for four it is already cramped despite the sofa. I recommend it for a couple or parents with one child, and no more.
Citadines St. Germain
- On the banks of the Seine, opposite the Fontainebleau
- Separate kitchen with dishwasher, air conditioning and 24-hour gym
- Breakfast for an additional 19 euros per person
Two hundred and four apartments on seven floors on the Quai des Grands Augustins, right on the banks of the Seine and opposite the Fontainebleau. There are studios for two and one-bedroom apartments for four, all with a separate, fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher, air conditioning, blackout curtains and soundproofing. Some units overlook the river. The building has a 24-hour gym and a staffed reception. The Louvre is an eight-minute walk away and Notre Dame is nine, andSaint-Germain-des-Prés Starts across the road. Please note that breakfast is 19 euros per person and is not included. I recommend requesting a unit with a view of the Seine, and yes, it is worth the extra.

Sweet Inn St. Germain

A designer apartment in the heart of Saint-Germain, from the chain that also operates the apartments I recommended in the first and second arrondissements. Their standard is consistent: a fully equipped kitchen, a Nespresso machine, hotel-quality linens and towels, and an interior design done by a local designer and not from a catalog. The apartment is bright and comfortably fits six. Everything that Saint-Germain is known for is spread out around it: The historic cafes Like La Flor and La Du Mago, the bookstores and boutiques. Note that there is no reception desk: entry is by digital code via the app, and after 10pm there are quiet rules. I recommend it for a group of adults who prefer independence over service.
Assas-Vavin
- Seven minutes walk from Luxembourg Gardens
- Soundproof windows and some units have a balcony
- There is no elevator, and entry is only from 4:30 PM.
Residence at 78 Rue d'Assas, with several units of different sizes. They include a kitchen with an oven, microwave and coffee maker, soundproof windows, and some have a seating area or balcony. The location is quiet and truly residential: the Luxembourg Gardens are a seven-minute walk away, Notre-Dame-des-Champs station is 350 meters away, and the RER station Fort Royal is 550 meters away. And here are two caveats that must be said: there is no elevator in the building, and entry is only possible from 4:30 p.m. In addition, the size of the units varies greatly between them. I recommend confirming the exact size and capacity with the host before booking.
Spa Le Prince Regent
- Indoor pool, hammam and sauna in the building
- 24-hour reception, daily housekeeping and breakfast in the room
- Entrance to the pool and hammam is free, and only from the age of 16.
A 17-unit residence on Rue Monsieur-le-Prince, in a renovated 18th-century building. There are studios, suites and a three-bedroom duplex, all air-conditioned, with a full kitchen, washing machine and Nespresso machine with capsules replenished daily. Reception is manned 24 hours a day, cleaning is daily and breakfast is delivered to the door. The building has a spa with an indoor pool, hammam and sauna. Luxembourg Gardens are a five-minute walk away, Notre Dame ten minutes away, andThe Latin Quarter It starts across the street. And here's the critical detail for families: Entrance to the pool and hammam involves a separate fee and is only allowed for those aged 16 and over. I recommend checking the spa's opening hours in advance, as they are limited.
