Vegan Food in Paris – Recommended Vegan Restaurants in the City of Lights
Main Menu

One day I told my friend that I had a friend whose trip to Paris had made her a vegetarian. The friend was of course at the market, and asked how it could be that every market, food court, and restaurant could offer delicacies such as foie gras, Escargot, Chickens from Bres And also, did anyone become a vegetarian? “The answer is simple, my friend,” I said with a wicked smile, “before the trip she was a vegan.”

Indeed, until recent years, the life of a vegan traveling in the City of Lights has been difficult to impossible. French cuisine contains an endless variety of meats, poultry, fish, and animal products such as milk and eggs. Add to that the fact that the French in general are not very patient with people trying to change their cuisine, and you get an acute shortage of places serving vegan food in Paris in particular and France in general.

The good news is that the vegan trend that began a few years ago has finally reached the City of Lights, resulting in an increase in the number and quality of restaurants serving delicious vegan food. Yair Sagiv, a devout vegan, returned from a trip to Paris and brought me some recommendations.

Brasserie Lola (Recommended by Ronit Musan)

A small and amazing brasserie in the 15th arrondissement. Their pad Thai and risotto as well as the vegetarian spaghetti bolognese – amazing! Beyond that, the restaurant is charming and beautifully decorated and really fun to sit in, lots of young people and a fine wine menu for a fair price. I usually visit it at least three times on vacation. Highly recommended!

Land&Monkeys – the first vegan patisserie in Paris

A patisserie where all the baked goods are plant-based? It's possible, even in Paris. Land&Monkeys has multiple locations in the city, and it doesn't use butter or eggs. Everything is organic and seasonal, and they even carefully select the flour (and it's organic too). You'll find a variety of breads, pastries, snacks, and deli items here.

Vegan love

If you've eaten at a vegan restaurant that you liked, I'd be very happy if you'd write me the name in the comments with a brief description of what you liked about it and what you ate, and I'll add it to this post. Finally, Paris is known to be not only a culinary capital but also the capital of love. So if you're vegan and want animals not only off your plate but also out of your bed, I highly recommend Condoms Glide They are imported by Yair Sagiv, and do not contain casein, which is derived from animals.
