Paris' secret spots: cafes and more

I recently returned from a solo trip to Paris, during which I visited places I had heard about, and also found a few myself. All of the places featured here are 'secret' - operating among the thousands of tourists, where you will find Parisian locals and more interesting experiences than a view from the Eiffel Tower (:

Telescope

Address: 5 Rue Villedo.

A small, hidden cafe, frequented by locals and tourists who know where to go. The design is charming, the cups are blue and there are lots of little owl statues everywhere. The coffee itself is excellent, and there are also delicious cakes (not croissant! Croissant is eaten in a bolognese!). If you go down the stairs to the bathroom, you will discover a really cool basement, whose potential I think will be realized someday. The staff includes two very nice men, and I, for example, spent an entire morning there reading a book. The concept of the place - to use as few electronic devices as possible. The cafe does not have a WiFi network and anyone who opens a laptop there will receive a polite but clear response - that the place is in favor of reducing the use of laptops.

In the heart of the vibrant Jewish Quarter (and the falafel!), a studio equipped down to the last detail.

The improbable

The unlikely

The unlikely
Address: rue de Guillemites 3

A special and cool space, which I discovered myself while wandering around the Marais district. Serves juices, cakes, coffee and great meals. The place is in a closed hangar in the center like an old ice cream truck, the lights are colorful, lots of bean bags and pillows everywhere, plants and a library. Only cool girls work there (they reminded me of the band Haim) and the music is great, an atmosphere you won't find anywhere else.

Bar du Marché des Blancs-Manteaux
Address: 53 RUE VIEILLE DU TEMPLE

The market bar, in a free translation, is the place where I had the most authentic and enjoyable breakfast I had on the trip. For nine euros you will get coffee, orange juice, a croissant, three eggs and bacon, pieces of baguette and white cheese with jam on top. Add to all this goodness the Marais District At ten in the morning and you will receive Parisian happiness.

Address: 14 Rue du Temple, 75004 Paris

A waffle stand! You can choose what to fill them with (pistachio cream, vanilla, chocolate, etc.). The place is located in the hidden passage next to the BHV.

Poplin
Address: 29 rue de Debelleyme

I found this not-so-secret place on my previous trip to the city. A designer puff pastry shop that offers wonderful and especially photogenic puff pastry. Whichever puff pastry you choose, you will immediately fall in love and want another one!
