I want to talk about a friend of mine, who if he were alive would be celebrating his 73rd birthday these days, and in today's reality, like many elderly people, he might be immersed in obscurity and would hardly be remembered. But precisely because of his tragic death at the age of 28, he will be remembered as one of the most successful Israelis in the world in his field. I want to talk about my friend who passed away 42 years ago – meaning Mike Brandt, the Israeli singer who achieved tremendous international success in the 70s. I wrote about it once, but I want to come back to it for the sake of the virtual birthday.
The familiar version says that he committed suicide by jumping from a window in a Parisian apartment. But a new conspiracy theory is also developing, following an investigation in a popular Belgian newspaper, regarding the circumstances of his death, including allegations of murder.

My introduction to Mike Brant
First, a few details about our friendship. I met Mike when I came toParis As a “Maariv” reporter. He also arrived recently following the promise of singer Sylvie Vartan (then the star’s wife) Johnny Hallyday) To take care of his career. She discovered him when he performed at a prestigious nightclub in Tehran. But when he arrived, she ignored him and in this desperate situation I met him at the owner of the famous concert hall “Olympia”.
Mike was lonely, desperate, didn't know a word. French And he didn't even have a residential address. I tried to guide Mike in his first steps (not professionally of course) – where to live (I took him to my hotel), where to buy food, how to arrange public transportation, etc. After that, we parted ways for a while as he began to climb to the top very quickly. But he didn't break away and shared his experiences with me.
I knew him closely – quite modest despite his success, he didn't take the commotion around him too seriously and was even a little afraid of it, occasionally asking me "what do they want from me all the time" but he took advantage of it well. Overall, a guy who didn't let success get to his head and even knew how to laugh at himself from time to time with the "tricks" he did in his songs to excite the audience.
I remember one evening he showed humor and suggested that I come to synagogue. “Are you crazy? I haven’t been to a synagogue since my Bar Mitzvah,” I replied. “This synagogue will interest you,” he replied. And he was right.
And he took me to see a unique, exclusive and definitely respectable club, of which he was a member, with a bottle of whiskey named after him, and where there were meetings of a kind that I will not go into details about or elaborate on, but I will only mention that I witnessed his success with the women who were there. My general impression of him was that despite his great success, he was quite naive and humble.
Was he murdered or committed suicide?
His life was cut short at the age of 28 when he fell or was thrown from the fifth-floor window of an apartment in the heart of ParisIt was determined that he had committed suicide based on a previous incident, a few months earlier, when he fell from a third-floor window of a hotel in Geneva. He survived and was hospitalized for two months. The claim was that he committed suicide due to depression.
Now this claim is being denied in the new investigation, which concludes that he was pushed out of the window. This version is supported by the testimony of a neighbor in the house opposite who said that she heard a blood-curdling scream of “No” and then heard the body hit the tiles. Reinforcement for the denial of depression comes from new testimony from Jacques Renard, the composer of Brant’s hits, who told of a meeting between them the day before the disaster and they arranged to meet the next day to plan a new joint work. “He was reassured by our plans, he was full of energy and in an excellent mood. That’s why I don’t believe in suicide,” the composer testifies.
The background to the suspicions is related to the controversial personality of Brandt's promoter, Simon Weintraub. He was not recommended to begin with, but Mike became attached to him early in his career because he spoke to him in Hebrew when Mike still did not know French. After some time of cooperation, Mike discovered that Weintraub was deceiving him, not paying him, and that money and jewelry had disappeared from his apartment (as mentioned, he was quite innocent). Their relationship deteriorated and reached a low point towards Brandt's death.
It seems that Mike got into criminal circles through Weintraub. Indeed, three years after Mike's death, Weintraub himself was found in his car shot twice and even then it was not finally determined whether it was suicide or murder. Moreover, Mike's music manager, Alan Krief, was pushed to his death onto the subway tracks. Many mysteries that speak to me.
Suicide or murder? – We probably won't know. Personally, it doesn't matter that much to me. I still regret the death of my friend to this day.
It appears he was murdered by the Freemasons who leave a satanic mark on their every action.
Why?
Mike Zichro Baruch was preparing for a performance on the eve of his death. He specially sewed a suit. Two weeks earlier, Rothschild told him that he was jealous of him because his whole life was for him. Mike looked like an angel. Rothschild was less so, but he was connected to the Freemasons… Mike was murdered because a blood-curdling scream was heard when he was thrown from the building. The witness who heard it was not questioned in real time. Mike was found with his back to the sky… Those who commit suicide fall face down. His chain with his leg was torn off before he was pushed to his death as proof of murder. And most importantly… the Illuminati sign of Satan worshipers for their actions.
Murdered on Friday
Pushed from the sixth floor
District 16
6 Erlanga Street
4 times 6. A clear sign of murder.
Read a little and you will understand.
Did you know that in Switzerland they deliberately placed his bed in front of a window with a chimney? He was taking anti-depressants and at some point imagined that he was being taken to the crematorium and that he was without legs and hair.
Poor what he went through. The killer took advantage of the suicidal tendencies to create a cover for suicide.
But everything points to murder. May the memory of our legend be blessed. Thank you for the amazing soundtrack that accompanies us.
Really sad if they really murdered him, he will avenge his blood.
Our Moshe, by the way, also fits the name Mike, based on his appearance.
Reading the news of his death, it appears that his innocent nature and fragile mental state, plus his connection with his dubious organizer (Simon, who is Shimon?) and his involvement in criminal circles, is indeed a recipe for some kind of suicide attempt. But it also serves well those who “helped” him end his life.
In other words, it is possible that the second attempt is murder! By the criminal elements and the organizer.
It's hard for me to understand that he would choose such a cruel death for himself.
For what, Moshe? (567 on 25.4.25 of the current damned war).
It's possible that the first attempt was indeed from him = a cry for help! There were oppressive factors: second generation, living in a foreign country, a sensitive and not strong enough character, innocence.
This unfortunate experience may have served as a defense that served all the greedy hostile elements who wanted to harm him and succeeded.
True, it's just a maybe...it doesn't sound good.
But, why would he “punish” himself with such a cruel death?
And it also happens to loved ones and beloved ones. There is no shortage of factors, reasons, and intentions.
Sylvie Worthen divorced her husband Johnny Hallyday after his death.
Mike is one of the greatest singers of the century, what a voice, what power.
A swimmer's rope was suddenly cut off,
Should have been 1/2 75 years old
It's unbelievable how many years have passed.
And even today our son and grandson hear Mike and get excited again.
Mike, we will never forget you. We are the generation of the seventies.
We danced solo to the tune of La Samo Tema.
Too bad
Mike Brant was and remains a great singer. I hear his amazing songs every morning. It's a shame what happened to him. May his memory be blessed.
Mike certainly and with clear knowledge, did not commit suicide. Mike was murdered by his promoters who robbed him of his money and did not give him what he deserved and they threw him to his death from the balcony of the hotel where he was staying. There were 2 attempts to kill him. The first time it did not work and the second time it was successful.
Mike could have saved himself. If he had urgently left France and come to Israel to live here, then all the haters and jealous people would have left him.
Thanks to the Francophile website for the article and also to the author.
Thanks for the support 🙂
With all the goodness, success, innocence, and jealousy, bad people robbed Mike, Mike's soul will rest in peace.
The kingdom. When he died, he turned on a red light. Take care of yourselves.
Beyond good there is a dangerous evil!!
