Marshall Marin, French Chanson Singer – in Israel
Main Menu

Veteran and lucky Francophiles were able to hear Aznavour, Berle, Bressanone and the other great chansonniers perform live at the Olympia, the Bobino and other major venues in Paris.

Francophiles who haven’t had the chance to do so can still visit chanson clubs like the Lapin Agile in Montmartre to enjoy an amazing chanson experience performed by lesser-known singers. But what about those who want to hear excellent chanson performances without having to go through Ben Gurion Airport?

I am happy to say that in such a case, if the Francophile does not come to Paris, then Paris has come to the Francophile. Allow me to introduce you to a French chanson singer who lives right among us and is able to bring with great authenticity the chansons that we love right here in Israel.

We start our virtual trip on July 29, 2026!

Marshal Marin – French chanson singer

Chansons were an integral part of Marshall Marin's life. His grandfather owned singing clubs in Senegal and hosted the greatest singers of the 1960s, including Enrico Macias, Yves Montand andJacques BerleIt is therefore not surprising that Marshall chose to study acting and singing and embarked on a musical career in Paris.

At the age of 17, Marshall discovered his Jewishness and at the age of 23, he arrived in Israel for the first time. After years on the Tel Aviv-Paris Marshall decided to settle permanently in Israel with his artist wife Mira Marin.

I was first introduced to Marshall's musical qualities at an intimate performance at "Café Jaffa." From the first song I heard, I realized that this was not just another singer pretending to sing chansons, but a true, first-rate professional.

Marshall respects every note and you can feel it in the performance of each of the chansons. However, beyond being a talented singer, Marshall is also a great performer and manages to captivate the audience through his singing and stories about the “behind the scenes” of his songs. I could go on and on about the quality of his singing, but a short video is worth a thousand lines of text.

Marshall recently started recording his first album with original material that he wrote and composed. I heard the first single and really enjoyed it. Even though it's new and was created in the last few months, it feels like it's always been here and now you're invited to enjoy it:

So if Francophilia strikes I highly recommend visitingHis Facebook page And stay updated on Marshall's upcoming performances. Ticket Flight to Paris Helps deal with the problem better, but his performances are excellent “first aid.”
