Malta It's a whole world. I've traveled quite a bit. in France And in other places in the world, and I can tell you with certainty that there are few places in the world where there is as much to do and see as on this small island. There is a fascinating history, picturesque landscapes, and an entertainment culture that will not put the best of party animals to shame.
When you start planning your trip to Malta, you'll find that there's a lot to do, but since time is short and the budget is limited, there comes a time when you have to decide what to take and what to give up. And that's where I come into the picture.
As someone who has lived in Malta since 2018, I've had the chance to experience quite a bit of what this island has to offer. So I did a little research for you and handpicked all the most worthwhile attractions and activities. Here you'll find trips for culture and history enthusiasts, alongside fun tours that include swimming in the sea or riding ATVs. And of course, I haven't forgotten the party-goers among you. I have some alcohol-soaked activities and loud music for you that will definitely put you in a good mood.
So after this introduction, all we have to do is set out and start choosing.
Tourist bus (Hop on – Hop off)
Malta tourist bus
The southern route: Valletta, the Three Cities, Marsaxlokk and more.
The northern route: a country, Mosta and more.
Each route has 12 stations for free ascent and descent.
Trip to the islands of Gozo and Comino
Gozo and Comino are two islands that belong to Malta and both have quite a bit to see. Comino is smaller and wilder, while in Gozo you can find castles, markets, cathedrals and more. Like Malta but different…
Either way, if you come to Malta, you really, really shouldn't miss these islands. Get the most affordable trips I found:
Guided tours in Malta
There is no doubt that the best way for me to get to know a place is through a guided tour with a guide who is well-versed in the local history and culture. Unlike Paris where I know Excellent tour guides in HebrewI don't know of any in Malta. So all I can do is recommend a few guided tours that I have collected for you with tweezers.
Sailing along the coast of Malta
A cruise is a great way to discover the beauty of Valletta and the Three Cities, learning about their history along the way. It's a great option for photographers who can take stunning photos of some of the fortifications and houses in the area. For parents looking for things to do in Malta with children, this is a wonderful solution that can burn off quite a few hours with lots of fun and enjoyment.
What a comprehensive guide! I definitely didn't know there was so much to do in Malta and I've been wanting to make a trip there for a long time. Keep it up
you did a great job and this post is very helpful. thnks
Hi Zvi, great post, as usual. Full of information and very clear.
I traveled to Malta last year and I'm still not sure if I connected with it. It has a very interesting combination of old/new, western/eastern that was a bit strange to me.
What's more, the food was amazing to me, much better than on any of my visits to Italy. Of course the sample is not representative, but still.
Continue to enjoy your island.
Hi Inbal,
Thank you very much for the feedback. Do you remember which restaurants in Malta you particularly liked?

I'm debating what to choose from all this abundance... I didn't know there was so much to do and I only had a few days in Malta.
Rich people's troubles. My advice is not to give up on Gozo and come back again to try the other attractions 🙂
As mentioned, it's coming next month.
The anticipation is killing me.
Exactly what I need to convince A that Malta is worth a visit. I've been thinking about it since the tourism fair. Thanks for all the helpful tips!
Hi Zvi, thanks for the helpful information.
We are coming to Malta for 10 nights in the summer (2 parents and 3 children 12-4). Is it worth staying one night or more on the island of Gozo or just going there for a day trip?
Hi Ilan,
Since you have children and packing and unpacking luggage is quite tiring, I would recommend simply taking a day trip to Gozo while staying in Malta itself.
Best regards,
deer
Hi Zvi, thank you very much for the comprehensive and thorough guide. We are planning a trip to Malta in the summer and found it very useful. We (family of 5, children ages 4-12) are coming for 10 nights. Do you think it is worth spending some of the nights in Gozo or just coming for a day trip?
Hi Ilan,
Personally, I would recommend living in one place in Malta and visiting everywhere from there, including Gozo. That way you'll save yourself packing and unpacking suitcases.
Best regards,
deer
Great, thank you very much, that's how we'll do it.
Very beautiful - excellently edited, presented in a very friendly manner. Sounds comprehensive and effective.
Thanks.
Hello, the link to an organized tour in Volta does not lead to it.
Absolutely right. It seems that this trip is no longer being sold, so I removed it from the article.
Thanks
Thanks for the detail!
We are thinking of arriving there in early February. We heard that the attractions may be closed because it is not the season. Is that true?
Hi Shimrit,
This may certainly be the case (depending on the attraction), but most of the main attractions should be open.
Thanks..:) Can you tell me what might be open?
Unfortunately, I don't have time to go through website after website and check. I recommend doing the opposite. Decide what interests you and then go to the websites of these places and see if they are open.
Zvi Shalom
What dates are best to visit Malta? (If you also want to swim in the sea and pool)
Hi Ward,
May-June will be warm enough for the sea and pool but not hot enough to turn the place into hell.
