During this lecture, we will learn about the thousand-year history of the Marais and take a walk between Bastille Square and the Hôtel des Sauvage.

After finishing the previous lecture at the Hôtel de Sauvage, we will head south and discover some of the historical and culinary secrets of the southern Marais.

Tour of the Marais in the footsteps of Madame de Savigny
This lecture is dedicated to some of the larger-than-life historical figures who lived in the Marais during the 17th century, most notably Madame de Savigny. We will stroll through literary salons, magnificent churches, and palaces, some of which no longer exist. And at the end of the virtual tour – a surprise!
