Hotels in Aix-en-Provence and vacation apartments – recommendations from the Francophile

Aix En Provence is a charming city that I fell in love with at first sight (despite the torrential rain that didn't stop falling throughout the first day).

So it's no surprise that I recommend it to anyone planning a star trip to the South and West. Provence Use Aix-en-Provence as a base for star trips. In this article I will recommend several hotels in Aix-en-Provence and also vacation apartments (if you are coming with a family), but first let me answer the question of why you should choose Aix-en-Provence as a base for your next trip to Provence.

Three reasons

To live in Aix-en-Provence

Location, location, location

If you look at the map, you will see that Aix-en-Provence is located simply wonderfully. It is close to Marseille airport (even closer than Marseille itself, to be honest) so you can get there right after landing (if you landed at night, I recommend taking a hotel at the airport and coming to Aix the next morning. Personally, I lived In this hotel And I was definitely satisfied.

However, beyond its proximity to Marseille, you will find that Aix-en-Provence is close to quite a few other interesting places. Here are some examples (times are for travel by car):

• Cassis – 44 minutes
• Luberon area – about an hour
• Avignon – about an hour
• Earl – about an hour and twenty minutes
• Nice – About two hours

Excellent public transportation

If you don't feel like renting a car, you'll be happy to know that Aix has an excellent train service (when it's not on strike, of course) from which you can easily reach any interesting city or town in Provence. Aix-en-Provence is just a fun city.

As I wrote at the beginning of the article, I fell in love with Aix-en-Provence from the first moment, and anyone who knows me knows that it's not easy to make me fall in love with a city that isn't ParisSo what made me fall in love with this city?

Les Lodges Sainte-Victoire & Spa

If you've asked yourself where the "who's who" in Aix-en-Provence vacation, here's the answer.

Recommendations for vacation apartments in Aix-en-Provence

If you are traveling with an extended family, hotels may become a relatively expensive option for you.

On a family trip, it is recommended to check out the option of renting a vacation apartment in Aix-en-Provence, because a good apartment has additional advantages, including the feeling of living like a local for a few days and the ability to cook (Aix-en-Provence has great food markets and it is recommended to take advantage of this).

If you enter Clarice and Mathilde's apartments, you will feel like you have entered a French home straight out of a design magazine. The colors, furniture, and decor will make you feel like you are in a noble house in the city, invited to a ball.

But no one likes to sleep in a museum, so Clarisse and Talid have taken care of an apartment that is the height of comfort, equipped for an entire family, from the kitchen to the huge bathroom.
