Provence is one of the most beloved regions of the French, and many of them vacation there every year. It’s certainly understandable: the beaches of the French Riviera and charming historic villages make Provence the perfect destination in France – not just for the French, but for you too.

The most convenient way to get to Provence is by flying to Nice or Marseille. Here you can find affordable flights to these destinations.

Recommended accommodation and hotels

Provence is a very large region, so if you want to see it all, you won't be able to stay overnight in just one place and do star tours from there. So my advice is to choose one or more of these places (depending on the time you have) and go on trips around the area from there.

Audi's house
Audi's House (Salon-de-Provence)
An ancient house that has been completely renovated (Nostradamus was born here!). Perfect location for star trips to Marseille, Aix-en-Provence and the Camargue Nature Reserve. If you are looking for a luxurious place to stay and excellent service, this is the place for you.

Nurit Gaon's house
Nurit Gaon's house
A charming 16th century mansion with a pool, run by an Israeli (guide Nurit Gaon). Located not far from Aix-en-Provence. Book in advance because the place fills up quickly!

🚗 Transportation and vehicle

If you’re coming to Provence from Paris, public transportation and trains between the major cities are excellent. However, to get to Provence’s enchanting villages and secluded castles – You will have no choice but to rent a car.I recommend renting a car either in Marseille or Nice.
