Budget hotels near Mont Saint Michel
La Vieille Auberge
Hotel level: Two stars
Not a bad option for those who want to live on the island without paying a fortune. This modest 2-star hotel is located very close to the monastery itself and contains all the amenities you will need. The hotel has rooms with a sea view and it is definitely worth trying and booking them to enjoy one of the beautiful sights of France.
Hôtel Vert
Hotel level: Two stars
A modest and simple hotel located on the seafront about 2 km from Mont Saint Michel. The rooms are clean and contain everything travelers need. As such, it is an economical option for travelers who do not want to pay a lot of money for the privilege of living near the tourist attraction.
Auberge Saint Pierre
Hotel level: Three stars
The hotel is located on the main street of Mont Saint Michel in a 15th century building and contains all the comforts you would expect from a modern hotel including a TV, en suite bathroom and WIFI.
You can also enjoy a buffet-style breakfast at this hotel so you don't go out hungry and fall into the tourist trap of La Mère Poulard while looking for an omelet for breakfast 🙂
Hotel Gabriel
Hotel level: Three stars
A lovely hotel located about a 25-minute walk from Mont Saint Michel. The rooms in the hotel are spacious with an en suite shower and WiFi connection. In short, everything you need to spend a night on the way to Mont Saint Michel. Also, from reports I received, the breakfast here is not bad at all, so you probably won't be hungry when you start climbing the mountaintop towards the monastery.
Le Relais Du Roy
Hotel level: Three stars
A lovely hotel located about 1.5 km from Mont Saint Michel and 50 meters from one of the ferry stations that leads to the monastery. Each room contains a shower and toilet, and of course a TV and WIFI. If you are hungry in the evening, you will be happy to know that the hotel has a gourmet restaurant that serves regional flavors.

The Relais Saint-Michel
Hotel level: Four stars
What a joy to wake up in the morning and see the Mont Saint Michel monastery from your room window! Almost all the rooms face the bay, and that is the big “pro” of this hotel. Other than that, it is a hotel with spacious rooms, nice service, and a free shuttle that takes you from the hotel directly to the monastery.
Mercure Mont Saint Michel
Hotel level: Four stars
A Mercure hotel with spacious and comfortable rooms. The hotel is not far from the shuttle to Mont Saint Michel, which will save you the expensive parking in the area. The hotel staff is very nice and the clean rooms make this hotel a good option.
