Lyon is the culinary capital of France and is a wonderful place to visit for its Renaissance architecture. It is also a great place for stargazing in the surrounding area (Burgundy, the French Alps, etc.).
As with any trip, the most important part after finding Cheap flight is to find a good hotel that will provide maximum value for the price and become a pleasant and luxurious base for your trips. To help you avoid pitfalls, I have collected for you a series of hotels for every budget – from very cheap hotels to extremely luxurious hotels.
Because prices in Lyon are relatively cheap compared to those in Paris, I decided to deviate from my usual practice and add more four- and five-star hotels than usual. This way you can indulge yourself at a simply excellent price for your stay experience. And if you know of a great hotel that is not on this list, you are more than welcome to comment and list it for me so that I can add it to my list.
So after all this introduction: let's get going and find you a great hotel!

Don't worry! Here are some more options:
Hi
We are landing in Lyon late in the evening. Are there any towns close to the airport where we can stay overnight?
There's Bourg En Bresse, which is about an hour's drive from Lyon, if that helps.
I happily ordered from your link :)
Thank you very much 🙂
Dear Zvi, congratulations on an amazing site, which offers a wealth of useful information.
I used the site to plan a week with my daughter (18 years old) in Paris, and we are about to leave in the next few days.
I asked – our trip unexpectedly extended and we were "stuck" in France for another week. "Good trouble."
Where do you recommend we spend that week? Stay another week in Paris or maybe go to one of the other regions you mention on the site – like Lyon or maybe Alsace?
I didn't intend to rent a car, but to get around by train (although, you can rent a car if you recommend an area that requires it).
We love good cuisine and nature and beautiful landscapes (maybe to combine tranquility with the busier week in Paris?).
Many, many thanks!
Hi Shira,
If you don't want to rent a car then I recommend spending time in a big city. Paris is of course a great option and you can easily spend another week there without getting bored. Lyon is also a great option and you can spend 3 days there with fun and then maybe take a train to Dijon, spend another two or three days there and then return to Paris, all by train.
