Chambord Castle is sixteen kilometers away and Chaumont-sur-Loire is seventeen. However, note that the Sisley spa and the entire wellness area, sauna, hammam and pools, are temporarily closed.

The hotel is located in a quiet area 8.7 km from Blois train station and a 20-minute drive from the charming Chambord Castle. The hotel's rooms are very high-class, decorated in an antique style and equipped with a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom with a hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, and free WIFI, some rooms have a seating area. The accommodation includes a terrace overlooking the beautiful park, a pampering spa and hydromassage available by reservation in advance. There is also an outdoor hot tub - a unique and highly recommended experience. A good breakfast is served on site. Finally, the hotel has private parking, making it ideal for stargazing in the area.

This is the only hotel located within the private estate of Chambord, 5,440 hectares of closed forest, and just fifty meters from the castle itself. The building was formerly a post office, and in 2018 it was completely renovated by architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte. Fifty-five rooms and suites, some with direct views of the castle and French gardens and eighteen with views of the Causon River. The restaurant Le Grand Saint Michel faces the castle from a huge terrace, and the wellness area has a hammam, sauna and outdoor jacuzzi from which you can see the castle. Inside the estate you can also ride bikes or horses and play tennis. However, only some of the rooms overlook the castle, and this view increases the price of the night by several hundred euros, so it is worth deciding in advance how much it is worth to you.

Thirty rooms in the village of Candé-sur-Beuvron are spread between a modern building and an 18th-century stone house. Every room has a view of the surrounding forest, and Bistro Le Caire serves classic French cuisine on a terrace facing the trees, and on chilly evenings there is a lounge bar with a fireplace. What makes it a serious contender is its location: six castles are in the immediate vicinity, and Chambord is a half-hour drive away, so you can base yourself here and head out in a different direction each morning. But this is a village, not a city, a twenty-minute drive from Blois, so it’s a choice for those arriving by car and looking for peace and quiet rather than a city center.

A hotel in an excellent location, only 400 meters from Blois Castle. The rooms are clean and of a high standard, equipped with a TV and free WIFI. The hotel has a good local restaurant, a stylish bar and private parking. In addition to the breakfast buffet, the hotel offers packed lunches upon request. If you are using Blois as a base for star trips, you will be pleased to find that the hotel has parking nearby at a reasonable price.

Number of stars: 3 stars A high-class hotel in an excellent location, just 300 meters from Blois Castle and 800 meters from Saint-Louis Cathedral. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, equipped with a TV, a bathroom with a bathtub and free toiletries. The hotel provides free WIFI and has a designed bar, a furnished outdoor garden and a pleasant sun terrace. A continental breakfast is served every morning. If you wish, you can rent a bicycle at the hotel and order a picnic basket full of goodies (an excellent option for those who want to take a trip along the Loire River).

A small, ultra-modern hotel located not far from the city of Blois (about 6 kilometers from the palace). The rooms are not large but clean and contain everything you need. The hotel serves breakfast and there is even a microwave available to guests, for those who want to save money and heat up food bought outside. There is ample parking, so the hotel is highly recommended for those who want to discover the Loire Valley on a limited budget.

An excellent hotel for those looking for cheap accommodation but in a more central location than the previous hotel I reviewed. The hotel is about a five-minute walk from the castle and each room has a shower, toilet and TV. The place serves a buffet breakfast and is excellent for cycling in the area as it allows its guests to store their bikes in the hotel shed.

The apartment is spacious and includes two bedrooms, making it ideal for family trips. The living room is equipped and contains a multi-channel TV. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, stove, microwave and full kitchen utensils. Of course, the apartment has free WIFI. The apartment has an adjacent parking lot, which makes it ideal for a trip to the Loire Valley and the owners of the apartment, Bruno and Françoise, are simply lovely people. In short, highly recommended!

Not far from the place you can find a supermarket and here you can buy what is needed for excellent breakfasts and dinners. Like every apartment I recommend, here you can also find free parking not far from the apartment itself. In short, an excellent apartment for all those interested in discovering the city of Blois and the surrounding area.

The beautiful housing units, decorated in a unique Bohemian style, include an intimate and furnished living room equipped with a TV and free WIFI; a kitchen equipped with an oven, stove, microwave and full kitchen utensils. There is a charming private inner courtyard, a balcony with a natural view of the Blois River or an urban view of the city. The place accepts animals. The apartment is highly recommended for anyone interested in staying in Blois for a few days in order to get to know the city and the palace well.

A two-bedroom apartment on Rue Saint-Lubin, just two hundred meters from Blois Castle, right at its foot. What makes it unique is a private sauna inside the apartment, something you don't find in vacation apartments in the area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, there are concierge services and even an airport shuttle. The cathedral is six hundred meters away and the station is eight hundred. However, there is no air conditioning, and Blois knows heat waves in August, so if you're coming at the height of summer, take that into account.

A two-bedroom apartment in a 1900 building in Petits Degrés Saint-Honoré, and its name, the Nest on the Roofs of Blois, describes exactly what you see from the window. Four hundred meters from the Cathedral of Saint-Louis and six hundred from the castle, and less than a kilometer from the train station, so you can arrive by train from Paris and get around here without a car. The kitchen is fully equipped with a coffee machine, and bed linen and towels are included. However, there is no air conditioning or elevator, and the apartment is on a high floor, so those who have difficulty with stairs should choose another place.
