Flights to Paris | Cheap flight search sites and Paris airports

Searching for flights to Paris is always the stage that is accompanied by butterflies in the stomach and excitement, but it can also be accompanied by quite a bit of headache and a frantic search for the most affordable flight. The goal of this article is to help you find an affordable flight and provide you with all the necessary information about Paris airports, so that you can plan this part of your trip well.

Book flights to Paris online

The first site I go to to find great flights is XplorerThis is an Israeli website with a super smart search engine that makes it easy to find relatively cheap flights. Some time ago I contacted the owner of the website and asked him to automatically provide me with the cheapest flights available for the next three months, and here they are:

Other sites for searching flights to Paris

Didn't find a flight that suits you on Xplorer? You are welcome to enter the article Flights to France And find there a number of other recommended sites where you can find, with a little work, excellent flights to Paris.

How long does it take to fly to Paris?

A direct flight to Paris takes around 4.5 hours. With a connection it will take between 6-10 hours or even more.

When is the cheapest time to fly to Paris?

Using the flight search engines I mentioned earlier, you can find cheap flights to Paris even during the hottest seasons (you need a little luck, flexibility, and persistence). If you're still looking for a rule of thumb about when it's easier to find cheap flight tickets, it's recommended to look for flights during these months:

  • End of November
  • Early December
  • January
  • פברואר
  • Early March

The problem during these periods is that it can be cold and rainy, and the hours of sunshine during these periods are also few (for more information on Paris weather). However, if all this doesn't bother you, you can definitely find a bargain (by the way, if you decide to travel in the winter and you get hit by a cold and rainy day, I recommend you read the article Paris in winter to get all kinds of tips on what to do when the rain doesn't stop falling).

What are the Corona guidelines in Paris?

Because the Corona guidelines change from time to time, I have compiled the most recent guidelines in the article. Coronavirus guidelines in France – information on entering France during the coronavirus pandemic And you are welcome to go there to check the status (it is also recommended to go in a day or two before the flight to make sure nothing has changed).

Airports in Paris

Since Paris is the largest city in France, it has 3 main airports and one more in the planning stage. Here are a few words about each of them:

Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) – the largest airport in Paris

Charles de Gaulle Airport

Charles de Gaulle is the largest and most well-known airport in Paris. This airport has several terminals spread over a very large area and there is an internal train that connects them. You will most likely arrive at this airport if you have booked a flight with a regular company such as Elal or Air France, although quite a few cheaper companies also fly here.

Orly Airport – the closest airport to Paris

Orly Airport
Orly Airport

Orly Airport is located south of Paris. It is the oldest of the three airports and if you look French cinema From the 50s to the 70s, he will definitely star there. You will arrive here in most cases if you decide to fly with the low-cost airlines.

Orly's biggest advantage is its proximity to Paris (35 minutes by car, compared to about an hour by car from Charles de Gaulle). Its disadvantage is that there is no direct train from Orly to Paris and you have to go first to Robinson station and from there take RER B to the City of Lights. Therefore, if you come here, I highly recommend taking a service taxi to the airport and back and saving yourself the hassle of walking around the train stations.

Beauvais Airport

Let me get straight to the bottom line here. If you're flying to Paris, Do not choose a flight that arrives at this airport. The main reason is the long distance to Paris – about two hours by car. Since there is no train that reaches this airport, you will have to take buses that will bring you to the western edge of Paris or spend money on expensive taxis. Although the flights to this airport are very cheap, in the overall account they are not worth it in most cases.

When can flights to Beauvais be worth it for you? If you plan to get to Amiens by private car or are traveling to Normandy and the flight price is particularly affordable. In other cases – stay away from this airport like fire.

If you still decide to come to this airport, you are welcome to read the article. Buba Airport – Welcome to the worst airport in Paris!
