Starting July 2023, the company sky It operates several flights a week to Nice starting at $318. I was lucky enough to be on its first flight and really enjoyed the service I received.

Please note that no food is served on the flight itself, but you can buy a sandwich. I chose a hot corned beef sandwich and to my great surprise it was reasonable, even delicious.

Al Al

El Al operates flights to Nice with prices ranging around $400 for a round-trip ticket. Flights depart weekly. Flights to Nice depart from the city's international airport (Aéroport Nice Côte d'Azur).

The price does not include luggage, so it is important to consider that this is only a starting price.

El Al's flights are alongside its subsidiary Sun D'Or, which I will address shortly, and not as a replacement.

The big advantage lies in the conditions that the flight includes with a hot meal, hot and light drinks, and an entertainment system. This is compared to Sun D'Or.

Easy Jet

EasyJet's low-cost flights are a great way to get to Nice and at very discounted prices starting at around 50 euros one way (depending on the time of year, of course. In the summer, flights are significantly more expensive, although still very cheap). This is a base price that does not include luggage.

The advantages and disadvantages of easyJet: On the one hand, it's terribly cheap, even without any competition. On the other hand, there are no meals or drinks. In my opinion, the destination justifies the means, and it's a short flight anyway.

Friendly advice: Pay close attention to the terms and conditions you receive for your ticket. If you want extras, it is recommended to add a few more euros – and the flight will still be affordable.

Air France

Air France excels more in daily flights to Paris, and less in flights to Nice.

You can use the services of the airline (which is excellent, it must be said) during the summer, when tourism to the country is at its peak.

Air France tickets are divided into 3 main groups: The Light ticket does not include luggage for the plane's belly, but includes one bag for the flight itself, and there is no option to select seats for free. It is also not possible to get a refund on the ticket. The Standard ticket allows a suitcase up to 23 kilograms, and it can also be changed within certain limits. The more expensive Flex ticket allows free seat selection and can also be refunded in the event of cancellation.

On this flight, you will enjoy full service of meals, soft and hot drinks, and more.

How long does a flight from Tel Aviv to Nice take?

A direct flight takes about 4 hours. A flight with a stopover in the middle may take between 5 and 8 hours and is therefore less recommended.

Where can I find cheap flight tickets to Nice?

I collected it in the article Cheap flights to France A series of ticket search and booking sites. These are the sites I use when I fly to France and if you use them you will find the best and cheapest tickets for your flight.

The city of NiceThis is none other than the third airport in all of France in terms of passenger traffic, and it serves as a gateway for the arrival of extensive tourism seeking to enjoy the southern and summer side of FranceIt is worth knowing that given Nice's proximity to Monaco, this airport also serves the neighboring principality.

Airport structure

The airport is divided into 2 terminals that are far apart and connected by an internal shuttle service operated by the airport.

Terminal 1 has 25 different gates, and handles domestic flights. If Nice is just the beginning of your journey to other cities in France, this is the terminal where you will meet when you take your next flight.

Terminal 2 is considered newer, and has 29 gates! It is worth noting that the airport is designed to handle approximately 13 million passengers per year. This is the terminal you will arrive at from an international flight.

As befits a prestigious area that attracts business people from all over the world, there is a business airport terminal located right next to Terminal 2, and it includes VIP lounges and a variety of other luxury facilities.

Transportation to and from Nice

The airport is located just 5.9 kilometers from the city, and if we want to be more precise about the tourist area, then its distance from the city center is 7 kilometers. The short travel distance allows you to land right into your vacation in no time.

Here I will list for you all possible modes of transportation from the port.

Uber

An application that has definitely changed the rules of the game for tourists from abroad, and it allows you to find a variety of drivers who are available for transportation services from now on.

When you download the app, you'll be asked to enter credit card information to pay for future rides. The app is location-based, and when you launch it, you'll see a map with a pin. Drop the pin on your exact location, and Uber will scan and find nearby drivers.

It is important to note that Uber transportation services are often cheaper than special taxis, but it is important to do market research and check prices. There are quite a few Uber drivers who are simply waiting for you near the airport.

If you haven't downloaded the app yet, you can find it here:

Bolt

To be honest, there's not much to say about this app. Its essence is the same as Uber's, and its operation is ultimately quite similar.

It is recommended to download the app to conduct market research, and it is important to know that it is especially effective for long trips, so you may find particularly affordable prices.

You can download the app from these links:

Buses

From the airport you can also reach the city via buses: line 98 and line 99.

It is important to note that line 98 is a line that is considered to have a longer route than line 99. Its last stop is the promenade.

Line 99 is faster, and its last stop is Nice Central Station. Public transportation in the city itself is great, and from the central station you can take another bus or tram to take you to your desired destination.

a train

There is a direct train that leaves from Terminal 2 and it leaves every 15 minutes and arrives at the city's central train station.

Car rental at Nice Airport

In light of the fact that most international flights arrive and depart from Terminal 2, car rental companies are also located near it.

Rent Car in Nice It's a must if you want to explore the vast expanses of the French Riviera. If it's just a trip into the city, then public transportation will suffice.

Tax refunds at Nice airport

If you are not a citizen of a country that is a member of the European Union and you made a purchase of 175 euros including VAT or more, you can benefit from a VAT refund under certain conditions.

What I know is that you have to be over 16 years old and that it is recommended to fill out all the forms in advance. Of course, it is important to verify all the criteria in advance.

At Nice Airport there are self-service tax refund kiosks, called PABLO (programme for processing tax refund slips by optical scanning). You can scan invoices at these kiosks and get a refund. More information You can find here.
