Note: This is a very old article and unfortunately some of the restaurants have closed and others have deteriorated due to the Corona virus. I intend to update this article in the coming months, so I ask for your patience until then.
Bordeaux is of course known for its wine, but it also has a glorious culinary tradition. It is therefore not surprising that Bordeaux has many excellent restaurants that can suit every budget. So in order to prevent you from culinary failures that can happen even in Bordeaux, I have collected for you a series of excellent restaurants within the city, from family bistros to Michelin-starred restaurants.
Hungry? So let's get going!
Inexpensive restaurants in Bordeaux
These are restaurants where you can find meals for up to 40 euros per person (not including wine of course). And as you will see, for this price you can eat excellently.
Son'

kitchen: French
A restaurant that serves creative French cuisine combined with excellent service and a great atmosphere. What is surprising here is the price, which in my opinion is relatively low for a restaurant of this level. And if you want to lower the price even further, you are welcome to reserve a table through the link on my website and receive a discount of up to 20% on the menu.
CRU Restaurant-Bar à Tartares

kitchen: French (specializes in steak tartare)
If you love steak tartare, this is the place for you. You will find different versions of steak tartare here (Rossini style, Italian style, and more) alongside cold meats and excellent gravlax. Excellent for those looking for a not-so-heavy dinner. And by the way, if you book a place using the link on the site, you can get up to 30% off the menu, which will make the meal easy not only on your stomach but also on your pocket.
The Clandestine

kitchen: French (Southwestern)
A really inexpensive restaurant that serves southwestern food bordering on Spanish, I would say. The menu here is limited, which I think is a good sign because what they do, they do very well. The restaurant serves business menus that range from 21-38 euros, and if you want to try the “a la carte” menu, you can make a reservation through the link on the website and get a discount of up to 30%.
Oh little Bahut

kitchen: Bar Cheeses, sausages and wine
Looking for a place to have a light and inexpensive dinner with a glass of good wine? This is the place for you. The restaurant mainly serves platters of cold cuts and cheeses that come from farms in the immediate area, all with the addition of friendly service and a relatively limited but good wine menu.
Pastel

kitchen: French
Recommendation by Yuner Mazor: A very high-quality brasserie by Parisian chefs who decided to settle on the left bank of the Garonne River in Bordeaux. The food at Pastel is precise and incredibly delicious and at a price that suits every pocket. It is recommended to book in advance for lunch and choose the dish of the day!
Gourmet restaurants in Bordeaux
These are restaurants where the price ranges from 40-100 euros per person. Not cheap but not unattainable. So if you decide to invest such an amount of money then it would be very good value for the price and that's exactly what I'm here for.
Bistro Reno

kitchen: French
A classic French bistro that serves traditional French food and does it excellently.
Le Brocéliande

kitchen: French (Southwestern)
A small (only 20 seats), intimate and romantic restaurant serving traditional southwestern food FranceThis is a family restaurant where the husband Patrick FOULON is the chef and his wife serves the food. Try the foie gras and you will not be disappointed.
In terms of price, the restaurant is somewhere between cheap and expensive, but if you reserve a table using the link on the website, you can get up to 30% off the menu, which will make the meal particularly affordable.
Restaurant Le M

Michelin restaurants in Bordeaux
And yes, they are. These are restaurants with several Michelin stars and provide creative food of the highest quality. The price is usually more than 100 euros per person (without wine), although here and there you can also find bargains…
Le Saint-James – Nicolas Magie

kitchen: French (from the province of Bordeaux)
Recommendation from Yona Mitrani Mazor: A starred restaurant under the direction of Chef Nicolas Maggi, which is a 15-minute drive from Bordeaux and overlooks it, which guarantees a beautiful view both day and night. The word Maggi in French means magic and there is no doubt that this chef works magic!! An experience of a lifetime!!!
Le Pressoir d'Argent

kitchen: French (from the Bordeaux region)
If you have decided to celebrate a super important event or money is not an issue for you then this is undoubtedly the restaurant for you. This is a 2 Michelin star restaurant owned by chef Gordon Ramsay and staffed by Israeli chef Gilad Peled. This is a restaurant that takes the ingredients that characterize the Bordeaux region and creates culinary works of art from them, no less.
The prices here are very high, but you can find business lunch and dinner menus for 180 euros, which is a very reasonable price for a restaurant of this level.
Pierre Gagnaire – La Grande Maison Magrez

kitchen: French (upper)
Pierre Gagnaire's 2 Michelin star restaurant is located inside a magnificent mansion. The restaurant serves once-in-a-lifetime food paired with some of the best wines to be found in Bordeaux. Everything here is nothing short of perfect, including the service, creating a sublime culinary experience at a very high price (around 200 euros per person).

There is indeed a technical problem with the issue, and I hope it will be resolved in the near future. In the meantime, I recommend COPY PASTE the restaurant name on Google and order from there.
