Guernsey

Guernsey is not part of France. Why am I writing about it? The first reason is that although Guernsey belongs to the British Crown, its true culture is French. This can be seen in the names of the streets and houses, most of which are written in French, the Patois language spoken by the island's elders, which originates from the Norman language, and of course the fact that Guernsey was the home of Victor Hugo for 15 years.

The second reason is the fact that I have been living there since 2016, and the island is a significant part of my life.

So what will you find in my articles about Guernsey? Stories about its history, restaurants that I particularly like, places in Guernsey that you should visit and of course stories about the two neighboring islands of Sark and Herm. Guernsey is a magical place that few have managed to discover, so if you are looking for something different and different – this is the place for you.
