A few words about Yael Harmlin
Yael Sonia Hermelin – researcher of French culture and guide for in-depth tours throughout France. Yael was born in France under the name Sonia, to a French family in blood and spirit. As a graduate of the French education system who grew up and was educated in France on the values of the Republic, she absorbed its culture, and always admired its heroes. Thus, Yael grew up on the various myths that every French person knows. Upon immigrating to Israel in 1985 and after academic studies in Israel, Yael learned to know the Israeli heroes, and the comparison between them and the French heroes was inevitable. This was the moment when she became interested in deeply researching the history of France in general and of Joan of Arc in particular...and thus was born the book "My Name Is Zante," which deals with the national heroine of France from an intimate and sensitive perspective, describing a period against a backdrop of historical events.
