Guided tour of Montmartre – following Picasso, La Bohème and the chansons

Montmartre began as a small village in the north of Paris, which was annexed in 1860 and, starting in the late 19th century, became a place where the most brilliant artists in the fields of painting, sculpture and music gathered. During the tour, we will discover why the area became a stronghold of Parisian bohemia and walk in the footsteps of the people who made Montmartre what it is.

We will start the trip south of Montmartre in the La Nouvelle Athènes neighborhood on a tour that will combine culinary delights with stories about the lives of prostitutes in the area. From there, we will take a look at the Moulin Rouge and hear the story of the main star there, whose name has blossomed from the pages of history. All of this will be a prelude to the real thing, the climb to Montmartre! We will visit Rue LEPIC, where the café of  Amelie and Abbesses Square. From there we will slowly ascend through the alleys until we reach Tertre Square and the Sacré-Cœur Church. After enjoying a fine panoramic view of city ​​of Lights We will end our trip. However, for those who wish to continue, you are welcome to join me for dinner at one of the restaurants in the area (which has not yet become a tourist trap) and in the evening Chansons I experienced it at the Au Lapin Agile club (both not included in the trip price).

Where do we meet and when?

Meet at the entrance to the Notre Dame de Lorette church. The nearest metro station is Notre Dame de Lorette (line 12). The tour begins at 17:00 PM.

    I have a question, do your tours involve some light walking, hard walking, because my husband can't walk much. She likes short tours.

      Very nice to meet you.

      My hikes are 3 to 4 hour hikes. On average, I walk about 3 kilometers, so I don't know if that's a lot or a little.
